Katie Price’s Bold Parenting Move for Daughter Bunny: A Controversial Choice

December 21, 2023

Katie Price has disclosed a contentious parenting choice involving her daughter Bunny that is proving to be quite expensive.

The 45-year-old former glamour model admitted to allowing her nine-year-old daughter to utilize her credit card for online purchases.

In a conversation with Jamie Laing on his Private Parts podcast, the reality star shared that Bunny has been actively buying items from the online marketplace, Temu, using her mother’s credit card.

Katie mentioned, “Bunny’s on this site called Temu and she’s got my card and she’s so clever, and I see packages arriving all the time. She’s just ordering stuff off of it continuously.”

The mother-of-five further revealed the challenges she faced in buying Christmas presents for her children online this year due to Bunny’s habit of opening parcels prematurely.

“So if I have got something, before I know it, she’s opened it. Christmas presents I can’t order because she’ll open them before I’ve even had a chance to wrap them. She’s such a handful.”

Moving on, Katie discussed her parenting approach towards her eldest daughter, Princess Andre, and her boyfriend.

The 16-year-old model has been in a relationship for nine months and frequently shares affectionate photos with her partner on Instagram.

Katie shared her Christmas plans, mentioning that Princess and her boyfriend would be spending the weekend with her.

Jamie expressed his surprise, exclaiming, “Princess has a boyfriend!” to which Katie responded, “I know, Ed. He’s alright actually.”

Describing their dynamic, she added, “I watch them, and they argue, then they laugh. They argue like proper little teenagers. They’re both jealous of each other, and it’s like, ‘Oh shut up you two!’ They are amusing together, like a little married couple.”

Katie elaborated on her lenient parenting style with the couple, emphasizing her preference for them to experience things under her guidance rather than elsewhere.

She explained, “Because what I think parents have to do is revert back to when you were their age. So I’m quite an open mum; they know the rules to a point where I say no. But I’d rather things happen under my roof than someone else’s. I’d rather my kids be at home. Yeah, that’s what I’m like, I’m quite easy, I’m an easygoing mum, but they know when I really mean no.”

Jamie chimed in, acknowledging the presence of boundaries while also highlighting the flexibility within them.

On the other hand, Princess’ father, Peter Andre, expressed his struggles upon learning about his daughter’s relationship.

Peter admitted to Woman magazine, “I’m not happy about this at all. I’m struggling beyond belief, but that’s life. We’ve had many chats. I have very strict rules in my house.”

He confessed, “I had this rule that she would never have a boyfriend until she was 38, and now she’s 16 and she’s talking about boys!”

Despite his initial concerns, Peter acknowledged his wife Emily’s perspective, which helped him come to terms with his daughter’s romantic involvement.

He shared, “Emily really made me realize that I can’t treat her differently from how I treated Junior at that age.”
