January 7, 2024

Abbey Clancy has disclosed that she finds it hard to control her excitement when watching her children participate in competitive sports. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, she admitted to sometimes getting carried away due to her strong passion for her family’s success, especially coming from a sporty background with her husband, Premier League star Peter Crouch.

The proud 37-year-old shared how deeply involved she gets while watching her daughter swim, expressing, “I’m screaming my head off at the sidelines, and people probably look at me and think, ‘Oh, my God, crazy person,’ but it’s challenging not to be enthusiastic.”

Abbey highlighted that not all forms of cheering stem from negativity, citing the unwavering support she provides her husband amidst the harsh criticisms he faces on the field, as depicted in his documentary, That Peter Crouch Film.

Reflecting on the emotional impact of witnessing the extent of the abuse Peter endured, Abbey emphasized her stance on promoting positivity over negativity, stating, “I’m all for positive praise. I just don’t think negativity helps anybody.”

Despite the controversies surrounding the challenges on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Abbey confessed her love for the show, appreciating the contestants’ willingness to face demanding trials, even if it involves encounters with rodents.

Abbey expressed her admiration for her daughters’ remarkable talents in netball and swimming, while also foreseeing the possibility of her sons following their father’s path by showing an interest in football.

Emphasizing the importance of providing children with positive reinforcement rather than pressure, Abbey underscored the significance of fostering an environment where kids can enjoy their pursuits freely.

In a recent collaboration promoting the new Google Pixel Eight, Abbey showcased the smart audio eraser tool, which allows her to selectively eliminate background noises from her videos. This feature enables her to remove instances of her enthusiastic outbursts during school events, ensuring a more focused and pleasant viewing experience, particularly for sharing with family members.

Abbey humorously mentioned the option for Peter to mute her during their joint podcast, The Therapy Crouch, in case she interrupts him—a lighthearted nod to maintaining harmony in their shared endeavors.
