Discover ‘The Parenting Map’ at the GPS Watch Party in Council Chambers on January 23rd

January 19, 2024

In collaboration with The Branch Moms Community, The Collaborative Youth Team of Illinois, the GPS Parent Series, and the Naperville Park District, KidsMatter is organizing a live Naperville Watch Party on Tuesday, January 23, at 11:30 AM. The event will take place in the Council Chambers at Naperville City Hall.

The event will showcase Dr. Shefali Tsabary, the author of “The Parenting Map: Step-by-Step Solutions to Consciously Create the Ultimate Parent-Child Relationship.” Dr. Tsabary emphasizes that every parent has the ability to nurture happy, healthy, and emotionally stable children.

Despite this positive outlook, many parents face challenges along the way. The rapidly evolving landscape of social media, the prevalent culture of fear, and the subconscious burden of generational expectations on children have collectively created immense pressure on both parents and children.

Dr. Tsabary provides a comprehensive guide to breaking free from detrimental inherited patterns and fostering genuine connections that enable parents to understand and support their children’s true identities and potential.

The event is open to the public and will be held at the Council Chambers in Naperville Municipal Center, located at 400 S. Eagle Street. Registration for the in-person gathering starts at 11:30 AM. All members of the community are encouraged to attend.

Original Post, Nov. 14, 2023 / The “Naperville in November Watch Party: Update on Social Media & Teen Mental Health” is scheduled from 7 PM to 9 PM on Tuesday, November 14, at the Municipal Center.

Earlier today at noon, KidMatter, The Branch Moms Community, The Collaborative Youth Team of Illinois, the Glenbard Parent Series (GPS), and the Naperville Park District hosted an enlightening session featuring Dr. Mitch Prinstein and Dr. Eva Telzer.

These experts delved into the lasting impacts of technology and social media usage on the social and emotional development of teenagers. They provided tools for parents, caregivers, and teens to make informed decisions about their social media interactions.
