However, dealing with a situation where another person’s child becomes the issue can escalate matters, as evidenced by a recent incident at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Rachel, known as @rachelthedreamer on TikTok, shared her encounter at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in late December 2023. Despite saving up for this vacation for a significant period, she was determined not to let unattended “bratty kids” disrupt her family’s enjoyment.
In a series of TikTok videos, Rachel recounted an incident at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where a young child, described as a “little demon,” was recklessly swinging a lightsaber, inadvertently hitting Rachel’s family, elderly individuals, and even a pregnant woman. Despite the disruptive behavior, the child’s parents seemed oblivious to the situation, leading Rachel to intervene for the safety and comfort of those around her.
The child’s mother, upon being confronted about her son’s behavior, reacted defensively, claiming that her child was harmless and entitled to do as he pleased. Despite Rachel’s attempts to address the situation calmly, the mother’s escalating response prompted Walt Disney World Resort security to intervene and separate the families involved.
While it remains uncertain whether the lightsaber-wielding family was removed from the ride line, Rachel and her family were redirected to the Lightning Lane queue. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of parental responsibility and courteous behavior in shared spaces like theme parks.
