In June 2023, Baby Nancy Claire Moon made her entrance into the world, with her proud mother affectionately referring to her as ‘as cute as a button’ in the announcement post.
Throughout the past few months, Bláthnaid has openly shared the highs and lows of navigating life with a newborn. Just recently, she took to social media to express her thoughts on the new normal she has embraced.
Accompanied by a selfie featuring herself and her baby daughter, Bláthnaid captioned the moment with, ‘Just me and the most beautiful girl in the world… my baby is seven months old!’
Reflecting on the journey, she acknowledges, ‘What a whirlwind it has been… the sleepless nights and endless days pose challenges, yet they are also a source of immense joy.’ She candidly shares, ‘It’s a chaotic time, feeling exhausted, deeply in love, always parched (I haven’t finished a drink since her arrival), surviving mostly on tea and toast, in a constant cycle of changing nappies and outfits, relishing in the most heartwarming snuggles and kisses, celebrating Nancy’s every new milestone. It’s a continuous shift between extremes. She is the greatest blessing in our lives, and my love for her knows no bounds.’

As the new year of 2024 commenced, Bláthnaid took a moment to reminisce on the transformative months since welcoming her daughter. Captured moments included Nancy’s initial days at the hospital and their first Christmas together.
Expressing gratitude, Bláthnaid addressed her husband Charlie, saying, ‘Thank you for making me a mother, Charlie. Nancy is truly fortunate to have you as her father, we adore you endlessly. She is the greatest love of our lives and is the spitting image of her father.’
