Brandon Jenner Allows His Children to Watch His Reality Series

February 11, 2024

Brandon Jenner has no issue with the idea of his children revisiting his reality TV past in the future.

“When they’re older, they can choose to watch whatever they please,” shared Brandon, 42, exclusively with Us Weekly, while discussing parenting advice with his wife, Cayley Jenner. “There won’t be any restrictions around that.”

As the firstborn of Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson, Brandon was a familiar face on various reality shows during the early 2000s, such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Hills: New Beginnings, and Princes of Malibu. Being part of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Brandon frequently appeared on screen alongside his younger brother Brody Jenner and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as step-siblings Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian.

Presently, Brandon’s primary focus lies on his music career and his family life. He is a proud father to 3-year-old twins Bo and Sam with Cayley, whom he tied the knot with in January 2020. Additionally, Brandon shares an 8-year-old daughter, Eva, with his former spouse, Leah James. Drawing from his experience in a blended family, Brandon acknowledges the influence it has had on his approach to parenting.

“I believe it’s beneficial to observe peers and aim to strike a balance,” he expressed. “A practical guideline is to neither be the first nor the last to address any situation.”

While Brandon and Cayley aim to present a unified front, they hold differing views on managing a toddler’s meltdown.

“You can’t apply the same time frame that adults operate on. For children, that moment is their entire world,” Brandon elaborated. “It’s crucial to show empathy, exercise patience, and recognize that this phase will pass.”

Conversely, Cayley opts for a more subdued strategy by maintaining minimal dialogue and meeting the children at their level.

“In my opinion, during a child’s tantrum, they are completely dysregulated, unable to communicate, and lack rationality. Their logical thinking is momentarily disabled,” she shared with Us. “As much as possible, it’s about connecting with them at their level and acknowledging their emotions: ‘I understand your frustration. This is tough. You’re upset. I’m here with you.’”

Bo, Sam, and Eva have numerous cousins on Brandon’s side of the family, and they are already forging bonds with their extended relatives, despite Brandon’s occasionally turbulent relationships within the family circle.

“They have interacted with [Kylie’s children], although lately we haven’t had many opportunities to spend time together,” Brandon disclosed to Us. “We’re all incredibly busy. The intention is there, like, ‘Yes, let’s make this happen.’”

Moreover, Brandon shared that his children have quality time with Caitlyn, 74. Despite their past challenges, Brandon and his father have now developed a “very close” bond, with Brandon mentioning that they communicate “almost daily.”
