March 2, 2024

Cat Deeley is gearing up for a significant life change as she prepares to take on the role of the new co-host of This Morning four days a week alongside Ben Shephard.

The seasoned TV presenter, 47, who returned to the UK in 2020 after residing in Los Angeles for 15 years while hosting the renowned dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance, is set to embark on this exciting new venture. She made the move back to the UK with her husband, Patrick Kielty, 53, and their two sons, Milo, aged seven, and James, aged five, swapping their $5 million Beverly Hills family home for a £4.9 million five-bedroom house in Hampstead.

In an exclusive interview with HELLO! this week, Cat Deeley candidly discussed the challenges of balancing her family life with her professional commitments. Despite the upcoming demands of her new role, she remains grounded, acknowledging, “I drop the ball all the time. I’m exactly the same as everybody else.”

Cat shared her thoughts on the complexities of managing multiple roles, stating, “I do the juggle – the juggle is real, the struggle is real. You know, we know, we’re all just trying to make everything work. It’s all a juggle; it’s juggling the things that make you feel good.”

Apart from her responsibilities as a devoted mother, wife, and TV personality, Cat also dedicates her time to being an ambassador for Ella & Jo Skincare and developing a new fragrance oil with E11even.

The decision to relocate back to the UK was not solely driven by career opportunities but also by the desire to provide a nurturing environment for their young children. Cat emphasized the importance of family connections, expressing, “Our boys have grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins they adore, and they adore them right back.”

Cat Deeley’s commitment to inspiring her children extends beyond her career. She authored a children’s book titled The Joy in You in 2020, aimed at conveying heartfelt messages to her sons when words fail her after a long day of parenting.

In reflecting on her parenting journey, Cat shared how her children motivate her to embrace new experiences and conquer fears, emphasizing that age should not limit one’s willingness to explore unfamiliar territories.

Cat Deeley’s forthcoming role on This Morning marks a new chapter in her career, one that she approaches with a blend of enthusiasm and pragmatism, embodying the spirit of a dedicated working mother striving to strike a harmonious balance between her professional and personal life.
