Nicky Hilton Rothschild is thoroughly enjoying her role as a mother of three.
The 40-year-old fashion designer recently visited Universal Studios Hollywood to commemorate the release of exclusive new merchandise from Gabby’s Dollhouse at the Animation Studio Store. Accompanied by her 6-year-old daughter, Theodora “Teddy” Marilyn, they indulged in the festivity.
Teddy adorned pieces from the freshly unveiled collection, featuring unique cat ear headbands, clothing, accessories, and more. The mother-daughter duo even had the opportunity to capture moments with Gabby herself before relishing the remainder of their day at the theme park.
Hilton Rothschild expressed to PEOPLE that her daughters have been avid followers of the popular preschool show from its inception.
“My daughters have been dedicated viewers for what seems like an eternity. They adore it, and considering I am an ardent cat enthusiast, I believe my daughters have unquestionably inherited that trait,” she chuckled. “Thus, they adore Gabby and her feline companions, evolving into little mini cat enthusiasts themselves.”
The model’s three children with her husband James Rothschild—Teddy, Lily-Grace Victoria (7½), and Chasen (20 months)—are each in distinct phases, yet Nicky revels in keeping pace with all three.
“My eldest is deeply engrossed in rock climbing. She relishes the activity. Meanwhile, the younger one, Teddy, leans towards a more feminine inclination,” Hilton Rothschild disclosed.
“She delights in dressing up, costumes, and makeup. She was thrilled to sport her Gabby’s Dollhouse cat ears at the event. Given that she attends a private school and wears a uniform daily, she always manages to incorporate cat ears or other whimsical accessories.”
Regarding her little boy, he has mastered walking and is on the brink of speaking.
“He has been walking for a while now and is attempting to communicate. It’s mostly gibberish, but endearing. He keeps us on our toes, but he genuinely adores his elder sisters. He enjoys barging into their room and causing a bit of chaos,” she shared. “He may annoy them, but they handle it well.”
In terms of entertainment for their brood, Hilton Rothschild and her husband either team up or divide and conquer.
“Recently, we find ourselves splitting responsibilities. He takes the girls out while I spend time with my son, or vice versa, given the age gap. It’ll be some time before my almost 2-year-old appreciates the Museum of Ice Cream,” she quipped.
The family relishes their travels together and often engages in activities with Hilton Rothschild’s extended family.
“One of the most memorable trips was to Maui. It was a family affair with my sister, her husband, her child, my husband, and all my kids. It marked our inaugural family trip. We stayed at the Grand Wailea, a place Paris and I frequented during our childhood. The resort with water slides and a lazy river provided an incredibly fun and memorable bonding experience. Hawaii is my sanctuary.”
The children also enjoy shorter excursions, particularly their frequent visits to Los Angeles to visit family.
“While they adored Maui, they cherish their visits to L.A. It’s a favored destination as we stay at my parents’ residence, complete with a nursery/children’s room my mom designed. They have all their toys, their own beds, and get to spend time with their cousins.”
Hilton Rothschild treasures this period of familial growth, which has fostered a fresh and exciting bond with her siblings.
“It’s amusing because I just got off the phone with my brother, who recently welcomed a newborn,” she revealed. “We’re constantly exchanging advice—on diapers, baby carriers, baby classes. It’s an entirely new experience.”
Looking ahead, Hilton Rothschild eagerly anticipates more family moments throughout the spring season.
“I adore all holidays, with Easter being a favorite. I’m one of those moms who begins preparing Easter baskets and collecting items months in advance, so I’m eagerly looking forward to Easter.”
