Court-Backed Pilot Program for Parenting Enhancement

The Children First Foundation is launching a supervised parenting time program and neutral exchange center in partnership with the 24th Judicial Circuit in Monroe County.

Operating Family Center initiatives in St. Clair and Madison counties, the foundation supports families facing challenges during court-ordered parenting time.

Judge Andrew Gleeson of St. Clair County praised the foundation’s longstanding positive impact on the community.

The program aims to mitigate children’s exposure to adult conflicts like verbal abuse and threats by improving communication during exchanges.

Trained security personnel are provided by the Children First Foundation at no extra cost to court-referred participants.

Monroe County Resident Circuit Judge Chris Hitzemann commended the foundation for its pilot program, emphasizing the priority of children’s well-being in family court cases.

The collaboration involves Monroe County judges, including Judges Hitzemann and Lucas Liefer, along with the foundation’s board members.

Julie Chambers, the executive director, expressed gratitude for the joint efforts to benefit children and families in Monroe County.

Board member Christopher B. Smith highlighted the positive impact of the foundation’s programs on reducing family conflicts and ensuring safe parenting exchanges.

The initiative is set to provide valuable services to the 24th Judicial Circuit in Monroe County, enhancing the well-being of children and families in the community.
