DDG Criticized for ‘Unwise’ Parenting Choice Involving Halo Bailey

HALLE Bailey’s partner DDG has faced criticism for a risky and unwise parenting choice involving their baby son Halo in a recent video.

The popular YouTuber and the lead actress in The Little Mermaid movie celebrated the arrival of their first child on January 6.

In a Snapchat video, DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., was seen working out on a punching bag while holding his newborn son Halo. The clip was captioned, “My son is probably tired of me,” accompanied by laughing emojis.

A screenshot from the video was shared on a Halle-related Reddit board, where a fan expressed concern about DDG engaging in kickboxing with Halo in his arms, deeming it dangerous and foolish.

Last month, DDG posted a photo of Halo traveling on a luxurious private jet shortly after the birth announcement. He later shared another image cradling the baby in front of the plane, showcasing the infant’s little yellow hat peeking out from the carrier.

DDG also documented his experience on the jet, disclosing the hefty cost of the short 40-minute flight. Despite the expenses, he humorously questioned if he had been scammed, adding crying face emojis to his post.

Halle recently shared an endearing black-and-white snapshot on her Snapchat Stories, featuring herself and DDG with their son Halo. The picture captured the actress and her boyfriend in an elevator, with Halo snugly wrapped in a striped blanket and a wool beanie.

In a candid confession, DDG revealed that the pregnancy was unexpected but both he and Halle embraced the prospect of parenthood wholeheartedly. He acknowledged that while they weren’t actively planning for a baby, they were prepared for this new chapter in their lives.

The couple’s decision to become parents aligned with their shared desire to start a family, with DDG emphasizing their mutual interest in embracing parenthood despite the surprise nature of the pregnancy.
