March 12, 2024

Jeffrey Brown, recognized for his creative interpretations of the Star Wars characters (refer to “Mandalorian and Child”), shifts his focus to his own family in an upcoming graphic novel set to be released by NBM in Fall 2024.

Titled Kids Are Still Weird: And More Observations from Parenthood, Brown’s latest work offers a lighthearted exploration of the quirks of family life and his children’s candid reflections on the world around them. This book appeals not only to Brown enthusiasts but also to readers who appreciate Guy Delisle’s A User’s Guide to Neglectful Parenting series and its follow-ups (refer to “‘Even More Bad Parenting’”). Similar to Brown’s Star Wars graphic novels, Kids Are Still Weird will adopt a square, 7” x 7” format, albeit in paperback. Scheduled for release on October 15, 2024, this 104-page publication will be priced at $9.99.

NBM has curated a selection of three graphic novels centered on historical and cultural themes for its fall lineup:
