The head of the emerging right-wing Reclaim Party asserted, “The challenge with co-parenting arises from the significant bias of the secretive family court system in favor of the mother.”

“This system is entirely inadequate.”

The actor further stated, “I have never obstructed our sons’ access to their mother, and I only desire a stable family situation for her.”

“For years, my sole focus has been to actively participate in their lives and be a caring father. I may not be flawless, but I have consistently prioritized the well-being of the children.”

The actress has broken her silence regarding her former husband Laurence Fox six years post their divorce.

Billie Piper, aged 41, was wed to the actor-cum-politician from 2007 to 2016 and shares two children, Winston, 12, and Eugene, eight, with him.

Subsequently, they engaged in a protracted custody dispute over their sons, and in 2022, Fox, aged 45, alleged that Piper was using their children as ‘tools’ after being denied visitation rights.

Piper had previously refrained from commenting on the issue but has now disclosed the challenges of managing custody matters with her ex-husband in a recent interview.

In an interview with British Vogue, the star of Secret Diary of a Call Girl divulged that co-parenting with Fox poses significant challenges.

“I maintain strict routines and ensure consistency with the children. I prioritize their proximity. That’s the extent of my efforts,” she shared with the publication.

“The privacy and individuality of my children are of utmost importance to me. They deserve to carve out their own identities rather than being viewed as mere extensions of their parents.”

Upon announcing their separation in 2016, the couple stated that the marriage had irreparably broken down and no external parties were involved.

Post their split, Piper mentioned her efforts to steer clear of any news concerning Fox, despite the considerable challenge it poses.

She expressed, “I make an attempt to shield myself from information, but it’s incredibly difficult.

“I avoid reading about it, but everyone seems eager to discuss it. At times, I have to request people not to involve me in these conversations, now or in the future.”

“I’ve had to make decisions, and a divorce speaks for itself… or it should, at least! Sometimes, you just have to laugh to ease the tension.”

Reflecting on the positive outcomes of the divorce, she noted that it has contributed to her feeling stronger in various aspects.

In response to inquiries about her ex-husband, she remarked, “If individuals wish to comprehend his mindset, they should approach him or his family.

“Consult [Fox’s brother-in-law, actor and comedian] Richard Ayoade or his wife [Fox’s actress sister] Lydia for a potentially more intriguing perspective.”

The couple first crossed paths in 2006 while collaborating on the stage play Treats and tied the knot a year later.
